Daniel Smith hails from Kansas City, Kansas. He was born second generation Deaf. He received his high school diploma from the Kansas School for the Deaf, his B.A. from Gallaudet University, and his M.S. from Western Maryland College. Daniel has lived in four different cities and has resided in Indianapolis since 1995 with his dear Deaf wife Joan. He has three third generation grown Deaf children as well as three cats. He is a coffee lover and a sports freak. Daniel is a Senior Lecturer at I.U. teaching American Sign Language (ASL) since 2010. He loves every minute of it and believes he could not find anything better elsewhere.
