All students who apply to the M.A. or Au.D. programs in speech, language and hearing sciences will be automatically considered for funding through these three mechanisms: departmental assistantships, American Sign Language (ASL) assistantships, and research assistantships.
Completed applications must be submitted by January 1 (December 1 for international students) to be considered for funding.
Departmental assistantships: We have a limited number of departmental assistantships available. These are usually offered to incoming students with outstanding academic records.
ASL assistantships: Students who have completed ASL coursework or have native proficiency in ASL may qualify for ASL assistantships.
Research assistantships: Research assistantships are occasionally available in faculty laboratories.
Students who are interested in the STEPS program—the bilingual track (Spanish-English) in the M.A. program—may also receive funding. To be considered, indicate your interest in this specific program on your application.
