Eleanor Birch, M.A., CCC-SLP is a doctoral student in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and the Program in Neuroscience at Indiana University. She works under the guidance of Dr. Brielle Stark in the Neural Research Lab. Her research interests include social communication skills post-acquired brain injury. Eleanor earned her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 2014 and her M.A. in Speech Language Pathology in 2016 from Indiana University. Following completion of her M.A. she worked for five years as an SLP. Her first three years were spent working in skilled nursing facilities and the following two years were spent working on the traumatic brain injury unit at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI). At RHI, she became involved in the research department affiliated with IU medical school. Outside of work and school, she enjoys baking cookies, spending time with her cats, and traveling with her husband.
