Julianne Alexander, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a doctoral student in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and the Program in Neuroscience at Indiana University. Her research interests include acquired communication disorders and their neural correlates as well as multilingualism. She works under the guidance of Dr. Brielle Stark in the Neural Research Lab. Julianne earned a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences and a B.A. in Spanish at IU and then completed an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Iowa. Prior to returning for doctoral study, she worked as a speech-language pathologist for 2 years in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing settings and hopes to advance understanding of language and cognitive-communication disorders for other clinicians. In her free time, Julianne enjoys theater, spending time in nature, and cooking for friends and family.
