Dylan Pearson, M.A., is a fourth-year Ph.D. student. Dylan was admitted to the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences department at IU after completing his M.A. in Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Working with Dr. Yi Shen and Dr. Tessa Bent, Dylan’s research interests center on how listeners use predictive processes to facilitate speech perception. Specifically, his research projects focus on the roles of entrainment and temporal/rhythmic information as well as socio-indexical cues in improving listener predictions and perception of future acoustic events.
